Edit
Taking a few minutes to research before buying can save a lot of money and frustration. I try to look for real photos of the insoles and soles, not only the outside of the shoe. If they reply politely and give detailed answers, I feel more relaxed. Online shops that show detailed measurements and care instructions usually get my attention. I think this is one of the few real advantages we have compared to shopping blindly. A simple and honest answer like “we do not have that option” is better than marketing fluff.

If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers. It is always difficult to know which website is really trustworthy before you place an order. If a piece of jewelry keeps its color and does not irritate the skin, I consider it a win. For daily use items I try to balance price, build quality and real user feedback.

Maybe this is useful for someone.
